Me Guy Loando Mboyo participated, on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, in the first symposium of mining and quarrying agents organized at the Congo River Hotel in Kinshasa.
On the initiative of the Body of agents in mines and quarries of the Democratic Republic of Congo, this symposium focused on two themes:
1. Agents in mines and quarries put to the test of practice;
2. The 4 years of the new Mining Code: should it be revisited?.
One of the speakers at this forum, Me Guy Loando Mboyo, in his capacity as agent in mines and quarries, presented around the sub-theme: “agents in mines and quarries facing the mining markets”.
With proven experience in the mining sector, Me Guy Loando Mboyo explained in particular the role and conditions for becoming an agent in mines and quarries, the organization of the mining market…
In addition, he pleaded for the country to have a mining processing market.
According to Mr. Guy Loando, also Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Development, mining law is well organized in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
“There is a completely natural link between the bodies of mining agents. The legislator wanted issues related to mining administration to be managed by a professional category. And so not everyone can interact with the mining administration. The law wanted this interaction to take place through a body called the Corps of Mining and Quarrying Agents. Mining and quarry agents are responsible for advising or assisting interested parties in the exercise of mining and quarry rights as well as in related litigation. “said Mr. Guy Loando.
