For the second consecutive week, the price of cobalt is down on the international market.

Although the general price trend for mining products exported from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is upward on the international market for the period from January 23 to 28, 2023, the price of cobalt is expected to fall again this week.

According to projections by the National Commission of Mercurials, cobalt should trade around 48,313.00 USD per tonne this week against 48,795 USD last week, a further drop in price of around 482 USD.

In addition, the same source informs that tin should trade at 27,450.00 USD per tonne this week on the market against 25,466 USD per tonne a week earlier, i.e. a positive price difference of around 1,984. .00USD.

On the stock exchange, tin is sold at 28,647.500 USD per ton this week. A truth of price which is not very far from the projections of the experts of the Congolese Government. They note that copper is expected to trade at $9,174.40 per ton this week from $9,188.85 per ton the previous week.

During the same period, zinc is also expected to trade at USD 3,313.05 per tonne compared to USD 3,110.40 per tonne last week, a slight price increase of around USD 202.65.

As for the price of gold, it is up to 61.34 USD per gram this week against 60.25 USD per gram last week, a slight positive evolution of 1.09 USD.

After having signed a negative gap of more than 2,164 USD the previous week, the price of cobalt is expected to fall further this week.

Similar to last week, silver is expected to hold steady this week at $0.77 per gram in the market.
