A total of 32,854.59 tonnes of tin were produced in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) during the year 2022, informs the Technical Unit for Coordination and Mining Planning of the Ministry of Mines (CTCPM).
According to the same source, these total exports of tin concentrates by mode of exploitation (industrial and artisanal) during the 2022 financial year generated revenues of around 428.8 million US dollars.
Exports of tin concentrates from industrial exploitation for the 2022 financial year are estimated at 24,307.88 tonnes, or 73.99% of the total exploitation of tin ores in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during this period.
The exploitation of tin from the industrial sector generated revenues estimated at 318.9 million USD.
On the other hand, exports of tin concentrates from artisanal mining for the 2022 financial year are equivalent to a volume of 8,546.71 tonnes for an estimated value of more than 109.8 million US dollars.
