The METALKOL mining company is now under the oversight of inspectors from the Regulatory Authority for Subcontracting in the Private Sector (ARSP).
This decision was made by the Director General of ARSP, Miguel Kashal Katemb, following an inspection of the facilities and discussions with on-site officials.
During a working session, the Director General of ARSP elaborated on President Félix Tshisekedi’s vision regarding subcontracting.
He emphasized the significant progress made in facilitating access to markets compared to the past, attributing it to the President’s commitment to addressing subcontracting challenges. As part of this effort, he instructed METALKOL to discontinue the purchase order system.
Miguel Kashal Katemb urged the company’s managers to align with the President’s vision, highlighting the Head of State’s determination to have the government take responsibility.
This, he emphasized, is crucial for facilitating the population’s access to the subcontracting market and realizing the vision of making Congolese millionaires.
Notably, prior to METALKOL, other companies such as CARRILU SAS, SICOMINES, Kamoa, and several others have also been subject to inspection by ARSP inspectors. This ongoing initiative aims to ensure the meticulous application of the subcontracting law and its associated measures.
